Health & Life Co. Win Patents

Established about 11 years in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, Health & Life Co., Ltd. has grown relatively fast in business revenues. Over the last four years, the company has had an annual average of NT$1.5 billion in turnover.

Health & Life Co. is a manufacturer and exporter of electric blood pressure monitors, stethoscopes, beauty care systems and IVD products. The company is operating a factory in Suzhou, mainland China with 300 workers. The Taipei head office is run by 120 employees, who are mainly in charge of sales, finance and R&D.

Strong R&D team

The medical company has a strong R&D department, composed of one third of its Taipei work force, according to Susan Chen, business development director.

Susan Chen said electric blood pressure monitors are the backbone of her firm's available products, accounting for 95 percent of the company's total revenues.

Europe and the United States are the key destinations of medical products developed by Health & Life Co., Ltd., taking 90 percent of its total exports, with Asia and other countries absorbing the remaining 10 percent of shipments.

The Business Development Director revealed that a brand new product - nebulizers - is being developed by Health & Life Co., Ltd. "The nebulizers will be mass produced at the end of this year," said Susan Chen. She added that these products are mainly aimed at Asia where a great many children are suffering from nasal or respiratory problems. "These nebulizers help to relieve their seriousness. We pin high hope on the he nebulizers in the Asian markets," stressed the business development director.

Susan Chen said her company's medical products have been granted patent rights by Japan , mainland China , South Korea , Germany and the United States .
